Hey! I'm James, I recently graduated with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Cambridge. I like making things, and I especially like getting other people to make things.
Recently I've been working on mechanistic interpretability. Specifically, I've been focusing on 'Meta Models' (approaches where you train a neural network to do a certain interpretability task.) I'm currently working on zero-shotting probes from natural-language concept descriptions.
I started Quack (a cosy co-working group for passion projects), I ran CamHack and Cambridge Game Jam, and I'm building Cambridge Battlecode. I read too much sci-fi (Foundation, Children of Time, The Dispossessed), play piano, think about philosophy more than is probably healthy, and I will argue that Blood on the Clocktower is the greatest social deduction game ever made. Some of this makes it into my writing.
I love meeting new people, so if any of this sounds fun — or you just want to say hi — drop me a message.
